Dr Mark Groves

Mark is a fully qualified Clinical Psychologist with Chartered Status and Associate Fellow Membership of The British Psychological Society. He is a registered Practitioner Psychologist with The Health and Care Professions Council (Registration PYL27131).
Clinical experience
Mark completed his clinical training at the University of Oxford. Mark has over 20 years of experience in health care, social care, and voluntary/charity sectors, including many years in the NHS. He has worked with people across the lifespan, presenting with the full range of mental health problems. This includes; stress, adjustment to loss, identity and self-esteem issues, depression, psychosis, bipolar affective disorder, anxiety disorders, trauma, personality disorders, substance misuse problems, self-harm, and suicidality. He has also worked with people with physical health problems and physical disabilities, including chronic pain, fibromyalgia, and chronic fatigue syndrome. He currently works as clinical lead for a specialist cancer psychological care team in a central London hospital supporting patients with cancer and their families. He has delivered psychological therapy with individuals, groups, and families.

As a Clinical Psychologist, Mark is trained in a range of psychological models and therapies and so he is able to tailor his approach, guided by your individual needs as a unique human being. The approaches he has expertise and experience in are Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). and Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR).

Clinical experience
Amy qualified as a Clinical Psychologist in 2015, after completing a three-year Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at the University of East London and Camden and Islington NHS Trust. She currently splits her time between independent practice and working within Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) for Oxford Health NHS Trust. Amy has 15 years’ experience of working in psychological services across the NHS, Social Care and Voluntary Sector organisations. Through her experiences she has had many opportunities to work together psychologically with children, young people and adults and is experienced in working with: Mental health and wellbeing difficulties such as depression and anxiety disorders as well as challenges with confidence, self-esteem and stress, chronic health conditions (e.g. chronic pain, fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue syndrome), neurodevelopmental conditions (e.g. Autism Spectrum Conditions, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder), adjustment to relationship changes and life challenges, for example through bereavement, separation, fostering and adoption. Amy has been approved to work with families by the Adoption Support Fund.

Clinical experience
Katie completed her clinical training, qualifying as a clinical psychologist in 2022 at University College London (UCL). Katie has worked within mental health services for 10 years, most of which within the NHS. She has worked with individuals of all ages and a variety of presentations. This includes stress, low self-esteem, anxiety, depression, trauma, dissociation, OCD, eating disorders, self-harm and suicidality. She has worked therapeutically with individuals on a one-to-one basis and with families and groups, both in person and online. Additionally, Katie has specialist experience working with children, adolescents and adults living with physical health conditions. She currently works within an NHS hospital in North London within a paediatrics service.
